Graphic

Experiments

That's my Laboratory, a space reserved for my graphic experiments. Most of the time I'm trying to combine my set of skills to develop different services or learn new workflows and skillsets. I've been playing with music and graphics for a while and post-producing my CG projects in #AfterEffects. I'm constantly involved in multidisciplinary projects and I'm always curious about other professional tools. As a side-effect, despite new skillsets, I can get a better understanding of the creative process when dealing with large-scale projects. I must say I've been having a lot of fun!

VJ Loops

Those are my newest experiments, I've been producing VJ  loops to my man Papacardinale AKA - Cardinal_FX.

We are using #Blender to generate loops which we can use in live procedural performances along with some Djs and #After effects to post-produce and add the final touch. He uses #TouchDesigner and #Resolume for our live performances where he can create and stream procedural effects by blending our compositions inside the software. I'll be posting the final result as soon as I can get my hands on it.

Keep looping on!

In order to upgrade my skills in Blender, I followed a bunch of tutorials on the internet on how to create looping animations. I had to search for different sources in order to gather the knowledge required to create those artworks. It was very interesting because in my research I've ended up getting other tips rather than only reproducing the tutorials. Key-framing interpolation, lighting, instances, and PBR materials were part of my new discoveries.

Product visualization

That was a little experiment to explore how far Blender could take me in product visualization, at this exercise with a hypothetical Smartphone commercial, the " inPhone". I covered the whole process, from modeling the smartphone, rendering and animating, and post-producing, adding the cuts and a soundtrack. For the sake of this exercise, I used #Blender2.82 for the most part of the job and #Photoshop and #After Effects for the final touches.

Introduction

Everybody loves intros right? Well, I do and that's an exercise to create some of them. The first one is for our weekly meeting at the agency when we talk about what's been around our desks lately. The other videos are for hypothetical games. Hope you guys like it, cuz I had tons of fun creating those.

Avatars

Those avatars were created in the creative process I had while I was building my own brand. I ended up choosing the prophet because it is simpler and does not still the whole attention. I used models from #Mixamo and then I customized them in #Blender, so it suits better into my brand universe..

Video collage

Back in the days,  I was trying to animate things in #AfterEffects and #AdobePremier. The idea was to merge graphics and music, two of my greatest passions. The whole process actually involved #Photoshop, where I designed the compositions, added some effects, and organize elements into layers. Later on, #AfterEffects comes into action refining the effects previously created in #Photoshop. So I would add songs and link some values to the beat, creating audio-reactive graphics.

#oneposteraday

Some years ago there was a challenge going on on the internet, called #OnePosterADay. I added my 2 cents to the conversation but I couldn't stick to that lenght. Designing one poster a day when you have a full-time job, a girlfriend and a life to be lived is a real challenge, I guess that's why they called it that way.
